Prohibited Items

The Shouts marketplace lets neighbors request, offer, barter, and sell with one another. To keep the community safe and lawful, the items and services below may not be listed, sold, traded, or solicited through Shouts or anywhere else in Zion's OutPosts. Listings that violate this policy may be hidden or removed, and repeat or serious violations can lead to account restrictions, suspension, or a ban.

This list is not exhaustive. If something is illegal under federal, California, or local law, or is dangerous or exploitative, it is not allowed even if it is not named here. When in doubt, leave it out or contact us.

Weapons and related items

• Firearms, firearm parts, ammunition, and components.
• Explosives, fireworks, and destructive devices.
• Knives or other weapons marketed for use as weapons, and any items restricted by law.

Drugs and regulated substances

• Illegal drugs and controlled substances.
• Prescription medications and prescription-only devices.
• Cannabis and related products.
• Tobacco, vaping, and nicotine products.
• Drug paraphernalia.
• Alcohol.

Health and safety

• Recalled items, or products that do not meet applicable safety standards.
• Hazardous materials, toxic substances, and chemicals subject to special handling.
• Medical devices that require a prescription or professional fitting.
• Supplements or products making unapproved health or medical claims.

Stolen, counterfeit, and restricted property

• Stolen goods or property you do not have the right to sell.
• Counterfeit, replica, or trademark-infringing goods.
• Items that infringe someone else's copyright or other intellectual property.
• Government IDs, official documents, uniforms, badges, or items implying official authority.

People, animals, and bodily materials

• Humans, human remains, or body parts, organs, or fluids.
• Live animals, and wildlife or products restricted by law.
• Endangered or protected species and related products.

Financial, illegal, and high-risk

• Financial instruments, securities, gift cards being resold for cash, and money-transfer or currency-exchange services.
• Gambling, lotteries, raffles, and games of chance.
• Multi-level marketing, pyramid schemes, and "get rich quick" offers.
• Account credentials, personal data, or services to evade laws or platform rules.

Adult and exploitative content

• Pornography or sexually explicit material or services.
• Any content or service that exploits or endangers a person, especially a minor.

Services

• Any service that would be illegal to perform, or that requires a license or certification the provider does not hold.
• Services that facilitate any of the prohibited categories above.

Safety reminder

Zion Datum Public Benefit Corporation is not a party to transactions between members. We do not process payments, verify items, hold funds, or guarantee any exchange. Meet in safe, public places, and use good judgment. Report listings that violate this policy.
