Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 14, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Zion Datum Public Benefit Corporation ("Zion PBC," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares personal information when you use LP Account (the "Service"). It also describes your privacy rights, including rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA).
LP Account exists to help you understand and reach the support you may be eligible for, and to let you share your information with partner organizations on your terms. We are a public benefit corporation. We collect only what we need to run the Service, we do not sell your personal information, and nothing about you is shared with a partner organization without your explicit consent.
Information we collect
Information you provide
- Account information: email address or phone number, and the credentials used to sign in.
- Profile information: your name and basic contact details.
- Intake and assessment information: answers you choose to provide about your circumstances, needs, and goals so the Service can identify programs and support you may be eligible for. You control how much you share; you can skip questions.
- Care and support records: information created as you use the Service, such as saved plans, notes you add, and the support connections you make.
- Consent choices: the specific permissions you grant, including which organization may see your information, which categories of your information they may see, and for what purpose.
- Communications: messages you send to us, such as support requests.
Information collected automatically
- Device and push information: a push notification token and basic device/platform details used to deliver notifications you've enabled.
- Usage and diagnostic information: app activity and error/crash diagnostics used to keep the Service working and to improve it.
Information from partner organizations
If you connect with a partner organization through the Service, that organization may record information related to the support they provide you (for example, appointment or program participation records). That information is governed by your consent choices in the Service and by the partner's own privacy practices.
How your consent controls sharing
Consent is the core of LP Account:
- Nothing is shared by default. Partner organization staff cannot see your information unless you have granted that organization access.
- Consent is scoped. A grant covers specific categories of information for a specific purpose. An organization you authorized for one purpose does not see information you shared for a different purpose.
- Consent is revocable. You can withdraw a grant at any time in the app, and the organization's access ends.
- Access is recorded. The Service keeps an audit record of access to your information, and you can review it in the app (Privacy & Activity).
How we use information
- To operate the Service: identify potential eligibility, connect you with partner organizations you choose, deliver notifications you've enabled, and provide support you request.
- To keep the Service safe and working: authentication, security, abuse prevention, error diagnostics.
- To improve the Service: aggregate, de-identified analysis that does not identify you.
We do not use your information for advertising. We do not sell it. We do not share it with data brokers.
Important limits
- Eligibility assessments are informational. The Service helps you understand programs you may qualify for; it does not make benefits determinations, and a "likely eligible" result is not a guarantee from us or any agency.
- LP Account is not a healthcare provider and does not provide medical, legal, or financial advice.
How we share information
- Partner organizations: only per your explicit, scoped, revocable consent, as described above.
- Service providers: vendors who host and operate the Service under contract (for example, cloud hosting, email, and SMS delivery). They may process information only to provide those services to us.
- Legal requirements: if required by law, subpoena, or to protect the safety of a person, we may disclose information; where lawful and possible we will tell you.
- Business transfers: if Zion PBC is reorganized, information may transfer with the obligations of this policy.
Data retention and deletion
We keep your information while your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and information in the app or by contacting us; we will delete it except where we are legally required to keep specific records (and we will tell you if so). Withdrawing a consent grant ends the organization's access but does not automatically delete records the organization created in the course of serving you, which may be retained per legal requirements.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (including under CCPA/CPRA if you are a California resident), you may have the right to know, access, correct, delete, and port your personal information, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights. Because we do not sell or "share" personal information for advertising, there is nothing to opt out of on that front. To exercise any right, contact privacy@zion-pbc.com or use the in-app privacy tools; we will verify your request and respond within the time required by law.
Security
We protect your information with industry-standard measures, including encryption in transit, row-level access controls enforced in our database, scoped staff permissions, and audit logging of access to member records. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your information we will notify you as required by law.
Age
LP Account is intended for adults 18 and older. If support is needed for a minor in your care, the account holder must be the adult.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes we will notify you in the app before they take effect. The "Last updated" date shows the current version.
